Worry Dolls

How to make a Worry Doll

According to legend,
if you tell your troubles to a worry
dall then place it under your pillow,
 your worries will be gone by morning.  


Our 4th and 3rd graders are taking the STAAR Test next week so art we made worry dolls.  Now they can all wish their test worries away.
 Take a long pipe cleaners.  Double it.
 Thread though wooden bead.
 Cut 6 different pipe cleaners.  Length depend on how long you want their hair to be. Put the 6 pipe cleaners though the loop at the end.
 Sinch up the wooden bead.

 Put each end of pipe cleaner back up though wooden bead.
 Wrap a small pipe cleaner to secure the head.  He has a neck now.
 Wrap another pipe cleaner around for the arms.  Length depends on how long you want the arms to be.
 Curl, Braid, on leave straight the hair.


With marker make Face!!!!

4th Van Gogh

4th grade's project on Van Gogh.
1st they drew outline of mountain.  I wanted three different colors and alot of movement.  The students used chalk to paint the scene.  They looked at the painting the Starry Night by VanGogh.
